For teachers

The same tools, in the teacher’s hands.

There is no separate teacher edition: these are the three free tools students use, with the ways teachers at Exzellent use them. They run on your own device and need no account.

In preparation and in class

  • Focus — prepare without the pull

Set your preparation hours as a schedule and the sites you drift to are blocked while you plan lessons and mark work. Recommend it to students as a study-hours habit: the streak and the dodge count give them something to report back.

  • LinguaCC — vocabulary from real speech

While previewing a captioned YouTube video for class, save the lines worth teaching. The phrasebook exports to CSV, so a lesson’s vocabulary list or a flashcard deck is one export away. Use only material you are permitted to use in teaching.

  • CVMate — career guidance you can show

Open it on the projector: a blank, single-column CV that fills in as you talk through a student’s experience. Paste a real job ad and the keyword estimate turns “tailor your CV” into something concrete, with the honest caveat built in.

Not built yet, and said so

Teacher-only features are on the backlog, not in the tools. A classroom view of students’ Focus streaks, shared phrasebooks, assignments, worksheet generation and sync across devices do not exist today. The tools are local-first, which also means a teacher cannot see a student’s data, by design. What ships is listed on each tool’s page.
